The fruits contain about 89.5% water, 0.8% protein concentrated in its small grains, 0.1% fat, 0.8% sugar, 5% fiber, with vitamins A, which reach about (90 international units) per hundred grams, vitamin B (0.6 mg), vitamin A (8-6 mg), and vitamin K, with malic acid, natural digestive salicylic acid, and mineral salts, the most important of which are calcium, phosphorus, and iron in sufficient proportions. Although strawberries contain a large amount of sugars, they are the type of fruit sugar that does not harm diabetics. In fact, strawberries are one of the fruits permitted for diabetics without any reservations.

Therapeutic properties

Eating strawberries helps increase the alkalinity of the blood, thus reducing its acidity, which helps in preventing and treating rheumatism and purifying the blood. It has also been shown that the fruit contains a high percentage of the element silica, which is useful for treating cancer. Since it also contains salicylic acid, it is considered useful for liver and kidney disease and rheumatism. Strawberries are a diuretic, a nerve relaxant and an aid to digestion.
