Apples: A Natural Remedy for Health and Wellness Benefits
Apple trees are believed to be native to Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It is said that the word apple is an Arabicized version of the ancient Persian word (tuna). It has been proven that apple trees were transferred to Egypt and planted during the reign of Ramses II in his garden. From Egypt, they were transferred to Greece, then to Eastern Europe and many Mediterranean countries. It is certain that apples have been cultivated for more than five thousand years. The people of that time used dried apple powder mixed with women’s breast milk to treat trachoma. Every 100 grams of fresh apples contains about 85% (water), 15% (sugars), 10% (protein), 3% (fats), 9% (fibers), 4% (pectin), 8% (acids, vitamin B10 mg), vitamin A (90 IU), vitamin B14 mg, vitamin C 15 mg, vitamin A, vitamin B6 40 mg and minerals, the most important of which are 120 mg potassium, 50 mg sodium, 50 mg calcium, 25 mg magnesium, 50 mg calcium, 15 mg phosphorus, 0.3 mg iron, 6 mg amino with very suitable amounts of sulfur, manganese, arsenic and cobalt. It has been shown practically that one medium-sized apple provides about a third of its daily nutritional needs, in addition to the fact that apples moisturize the body, cleanse the intestines and aid in digesting food. Some nutrition experts confirm that the active ingredients in apples help increase the development of muscle and nerve tissue cells, and vitamin E also works to maintain the natural elasticity of the walls of veins and arteries.

The tannic acid found in apples stops the growth of bacteria in the intestines and increases their purification.
